2006 Cellar No.8 Zinfandel, California $10
It is getting harder and harder to find a good Zinfandel for Under $12 these days but recently this wine has brought that belief back. There is allot of fruit and spice in this wine for the money, starting with an aroma of black tea and plums which quickly develop in the mouth and carry into a terrific tasting experience. Notes of fresh blueberries mingle with layers of dark chocolate and white pepper. The finish brings the fruit notes back in force with black raspberries and blueberry notes and a hint of leather. Allot going in this wine for the money.
