Le Merle Saison Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale, California 7.9% Alcohol $6 750ml bottle




This
wine pours with a great head, and aromas of sweet bread yeast and a slight
spice. Flavors were perfectly balanced with layers of fall especially
apples and with a contrast of malt and yeast to round out the
taste. The finish was fresh with more of the spice and citrus notes
resurfacing. A very nice Saison that would pair well with roasted chicken or
turkey with or without a sauce. It could even go well with duck or a heavier
fish dish.
